Duvel Tripel Hop Krush Duvel Moortgat Belgian Tripel, 8.4%, 330ml Bottle

For years, Duvel has set the benchmark in the world of Belgian blond speciality beers. But the brewery’s master brewers are never afraid to explore new territory, especially with the innovative Tripel Hop range.

Following the success of the Citra and Cashmere editions, Duvel now introduces Krush: an intensely aromatic hop variety bursting with notes of passion fruit, mango, peach and citrus. Replacing Duvel Tripel Hop Cashmere, this new release brings a vibrant tropical character to the Tripel Hop family. The result is a bright blond beer crowned with a rich, creamy head, combining juicy fruit aromas with the refined bitterness and elegance that define Duvel. A perfect companion for the start of summer.

Since the very first Duvel Tripel Hop in 2007, Duvel’s brewers have continued experimenting with innovative hop varieties and flavour combinations to surprise beer lovers time and again. While water, yeast, grain and hops together form the foundation of every beer, hops play a particularly important role in shaping both flavour and aroma. Depending on the variety, hops can bring fruity, floral, spicy or resinous notes, making them an endless source of inspiration for Duvel’s brewers.

For this latest edition, succeeding Duvel Tripel Hop Cashmere, the brewmasters selected Krush: a highly aromatic hop known for its expressive tropical fruit profile, with hints of passion fruit, mango, peach and citrus. The result is a crisp blond beer with a generous foamy head, fresh fruit aromas and a refined bitter finish.

To create Duvel Tripel Hop Krush, the brewers use a third hop through dry hopping — a technique in which hops are added later during maturation rather than during boiling.

“By adding the Krush hops later in the brewing process through dry hopping, we preserve the tropical aromas to their fullest,” says Eline Warrinnier, Brewmaster at Duvel Moortgat. “These fresh and fruity notes are beautifully balanced by subtle hints of pine resin from the hops, perfectly complementing Duvel’s signature refined bitterness.”

At 8.4% ABV, Duvel Tripel Hop Krush remains bold and full of character, while staying elegant and remarkably easy to drink. The flavour profile, bitterness and alcohol content have been carefully balanced to stay true to the familiar Duvel signature, while adding a distinctly tropical twist.
